Pario Solutions, Inc., a Nokia Siemens Networks GSM Value Added Reseller and Hosted Mobile Solutions provider, announced today that the company has partnered with Wireless Solutions International, Inc. (WSI) to offer managed roaming solutions to its hosted customers. The two companies have successfully integrated Pario's core network located in Dallas, Texas and WSI's OmniRoamer gateway located in the UK. Tier two, three, and four level operators that choose Pario for hosted mobile services can now select intelligent roaming solutions that generate new and significant revenue streams.
'We see our partnership with WSI as yet another way to provide our hosted customers with services that give them a competitive advantage and increase their bottom line,' said James O'Reilly, Vice President of Business Development for Pario Solutions. 'Our integration with WSI enables Pario to better serve our customers by providing them with a simple and inexpensive way to access worldwide roaming agreements that increase ARPU and reduce churn,' stated Mr. O'Reilly. Pario adds global roaming solutions to its current product offerings that include 2G/3G hosted voice softswitch services, GPRS, EDGE, SMS, Wireless Email and Push-to-Talk.
'WSI's OmniRoamer solution has enabled many operators to access international roaming traffic cost effectively and virtually overnight without the traditional, expensive approach of negotiating direct roaming agreements,' said Adam Crane, WSI's CEO. 'Now, through our joint relationship, Pario's hosted customers will be able to benefit from OmniRoamer - there are incremental roaming revenues to be gained by opening up customer networks to international visitors, and a service advantage by providing international roaming and access to 3G networks worldwide to home subscribers.' Mr. Crane concluded, 'Furthermore, by integrating our platform into Pario's core network, we can help operators to realize those revenues quickly.'

Global roaming specialist Wireless Solutions International, Inc. (WSI) today announced that Chinook Wireless had successfully deployed and launched its OmniRoamer Sponsored Roaming Service. The multi-year contract allows Chinook Wireless, headquartered in Great Falls, Montana, to provide roaming coverage for international visitors to its home network, whose area now covers nearly all of the state's population centers, as well as the principal and secondary highways, including: Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Helena, Great Falls, Missoula, and Kalispell, Montana; Sheridan, Wyoming; and the I-90 and I-15. Subscribers from approximately 200 wireless operators worldwide, now have the ability to utilize their mobile phones in these areas of the United States - where little or no international roaming was previously possible.
Chinook Wireless offers bilateral, international roaming with both Canada and Mexico, but to date has not concluded roaming agreements outside of these countries. 'We knew that there was additional revenue to be gained by enabling roaming for international visitors to the Chinook Wireless network, but we wanted a quick and cost effective solution, and one that conforms to GSM Association standards,' said Jonathan Foxman, President and CEO of Chinook Wireless. 'Having spoken to a number of WSIs other OmniRoamer customers, it became clear, very quickly, that the OmniRoamer Service provides the capabilities we required in much shorter timescales, and at considerably less expense than taking the direct approach to roaming agreements.
'Chinook Wireless is committed to delivering the highest quality wireless services in Montana,' Foxman concluded. 'OmniRoamer allows us to provide quality coverage to international roamers, as well as expanding the GSM footprint for international visitors to the United States - and initial forecasts show that we are already generating very attractive, incremental revenues.'
'We are delighted to welcome Chinook Wireless to our growing OmniRoamer community,' said Adam Crane, WSI's CEO. 'Our solution has allowed Chinook Wireless to provide an enhanced network service and to benefit financially, without incurring significant increases in roaming department budgets. We are also now working with Chinook Wireless, and our other OmniRoamer customers, on enhancing the service based on real-life, operational experience.'

Wireless Solutions International, the global specialists in roaming, today announced they have become one of the first members of a new Associate Membership Category set up by the GSMA. The new category is designed for carriers that transfer mobile operators' voice calls and video calls internationally.
'The creation of the category and our classification as an International Transit Carrier category is tremendous news for WSI', said WSI's CEO Adam Crane. We can provide a more efficient service to customers as we will hold a better understanding of their own initiatives and working objectives'.
The main objective of the new category is to provide an environment where International Transit Carriers can work with GSMA members towards a common interworking strategy. It will enable these companies to keep more up-to-date and improve 'time-to-market' for new services that function across networks as well as providing a forum for nurturing closer working relationships.
Mr Crane continued, 'It is a great honor for WSI to be one of the first members of this new GSMA category. This in conjunction with our Roaming Broker classification positions us to provide our customers with better overall solutions.'

Wireless Solutions International, Inc. (WSI), the global roaming specialists, today announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Edge Wireless to deploy a complete, international roaming solution. After a short implementation project, Edge Wireless will be supported by WSI's Sponsored Roaming Service, known as OmniRoamer, which will allow users from approximately 200 wireless operators worldwide to utilize their mobile phones in the Edge Wireless network, covering southern Oregon, northern California, south-eastern Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming. This contract will allow roaming service in areas of the United States where little or no international roaming was previously possible.
Although Edge Wireless has a small number of direct, international roaming agreements, the company has found that signing up new partners has become a time consuming and expensive business. 'Negotiating with global operators for roaming agreements is a very long process,' said Donnie Castleman, President of Edge Wireless. 'Many of the larger international wireless operators are focused on new services and technologies and consequently find it difficult to dedicate time to implement roaming for smaller carriers like Edge. WSIs OmniRoamer Service provides these capabilities in a much shorter timeframe and at considerably less expense than taking the direct approach.'
Castleman concluded, 'OmniRoamer will enable us to increase the roaming footprint that we offer to international roamers, which makes us more competitive in the marketplace, as well as expanding the GSM footprint for international visitors to the United States.'
'Edge Wireless is certainly going to benefit from this service,' said Martin Guilfoyle, WSI's CTO and Founder. 'Not only will Edge Wireless generate new roaming revenues very quickly, but Edge can continue to focus on its own customers while allowing WSI to provide international roaming service. Based on the experiences of WSI customers, we designed OmniRoamer to break down the barriers they faced in the international roaming arena. It is very rewarding that an organization such as Edge Wireless has seen the advantages delivered by our solution and our commitment to the open connectivity concept within the GSM community.'

Wireless Solutions International, Inc. (WSI), a provider of services to the telecommunications' industry, announced today a multi-year contract to provide Iowa Wireless Services, LLC, dba I wireless, with a complete, international roaming solution. Through the deployment of WSI's OmniRoamer Sponsored Roaming Service (OmniRoamer), international visitors have access to the i wireless network in Iowa and western Illinois, allowing them to use their handsets, thereby generating previously untapped revenues for i wireless. Furthermore, i wireless subscribers will shortly be able to use their handsets when travelling abroad in nearly 100 countries.
OmniRoamer will operate invisibly to i wireless subscribers, allowing them to roam abroad through the use of a special SIM card, installed in their handset at purchase. No special or additional numbers are needed and subscribers are billed against the published rates, as normal. International visitors to the i wireless network, from approximately 200 wireless operators worldwide, can now also use their mobile phones in the i wireless coverage area, where previously little or no international roaming was possible.
'We are now able to provide service to many inbound, international visitors on our network and in the coming months we will be able to offer international roaming to our subscribers through the OmniRoamer solution,' said i wireless' Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, Gary Baron. 'OmniRoamer allows us to put these services in place at a fraction of the time and cost that would normally be involved using current roaming industry methods, where we would have to contact and negotiate with each of these operators individually'.
'We are delighted to have i wireless as the latest addition to our OmniRoamer family,' said Martin Guilfoyle, WSI's CTO and Founder. 'We designed our OmniRoamer solution to break the barriers faced by many, smaller wireless operators who want to offer international roaming, so it is very satisfying to be able to help i wireless, and a growing number of regional US operators, to increase their international roaming capabilities. We feel that as the number of operators continues to grow worldwide, the wireless industry must look to open connectivity solutions, such as OmniRoamer, as a way to expand the international footprint and increase roaming revenues in a more efficient, cost effective way'.
'For the i wireless' brand, OmniRoamer provides a more manageable way of doing business - not only to increase roaming revenues but to provide worldwide, international coverage quickly.'

SeaMobile, Inc., the dominant provider of at-sea communications, connectivity and content services, today announced that it has successfully launched its proprietary wireless technology for customers of Geolink’s OceanCell service. Geolink is a pioneer and leading provider of satellite-based broadband communications and networking services with extensive experience serving the European market.
In addition, the company formally announced its multi-year contract with Wireless Solutions International, Inc. (WSI) to provide roaming services to Geolink customers in Europe using the WSI OmniRoamer Sponsored Roaming Service.
In December 2006, SeaMobile announced that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Geolink. In less than one month, the transition to the SeaMobile technology platform has been nearly completed. The SeaMobile technology is a sophisticated IP/software based solution that allows any type of phone used by the wireless customer to access the SeaMobile network at sea.
“By using the SeaMobile technology platform, Geolink OceanCell customers are accessing a state-of-the-art GSM cellular switch located at SeaMobile’s teleport,” said Jim Ellis, SeaMobile chief technology officer. “SeaMobile owns the switch, enabling us to better control the quality of service and enhance wireless voice and data service features for Geolink’s more than 50 cruise and ferry vessels.”.
WSI’s OmniRoamer provides extensions to a terrestrial wireless network, in this case European operator Manx Telecom, a Telefnica O2 Europe company. OmniRoamer enables subscribers of Manx Telecom’s roaming partners to utilize services provided aboard an increasing number of cruise ships, ferries and yachts around the world, including those served by Geolink Oceancell. The combination of Geolink’s satellite services, SeaMobile-equipped vessels, and WSI OmniRoamer maritime roaming service allows virtually anyone aboard a vessel at sea to use voice and data services available through their wireless home carrier, just as they would on land. Charges for calls and data services while at sea simply appear on the wireless customer’s bill from their home carrier.
“There has been significant growth in at-sea communications services recently and this has created an increased focus on maritime roaming by industry bodies such as the GSM Association,” said Pierre Macquet, chief executive officer of Geolink. “It was imperative that we develop our service to be fully compliant with industry guidelines. SeaMobile, WSI and Manx Telecom have worked together to ensure that this was the case to satisfy the requirements of Geolink’s OceanCell customers.
Trials on board a number of ships were held in order to prove that the maritime coverage followed the binding requirements laid down by the GSM Association. For example, the service must turn off when the vessel reaches coastal waters so as not to interfere with terrestrial networks. Similarly, operators who wish to allow their subscribers to roam on board suitably equipped vessels must actively sign up for the service and receive separate billing notifications.
“We have worked hard with WSI over the last twelve months to bring on board a very large number of worldwide roaming agreements, and are continuing to increase our coverage,” added Ellis. “It is important that as the dominant player in maritime communication services, we offer as many guests as possible the opportunity to benefit from these services.
“SeaMobile is a very prestigious client for WSI and is rapidly expanding the number of ships on which it offers maritime roaming,” said Martin Guilfoyle, WSI chief technology officer and founder. “SeaMobile’s relationship with Geolink dramatically increases the roaming coverage for international passengers and crew on board numerous vessels, and we have been pleased to continue to work with SeaMobile on this phase of its growth. For WSI, these are the first steps on the path towards a true, maritime roaming hub.
Guilfoyle continued, “We are seeing a large demand for solutions such as OmniRoamer, designed to meet the requirements of the GSM Association’s initiatives, which provide enhanced coverage and increased roaming revenues, yet are easy and economical to implement. OmniRoamer is just one of the many ways that WSI is contributing to the work of the various roaming programs currently underway within the GSM Association. WSI is proud to be part of the Association, supporting industry initiatives by delivering solutions in these key areas.

WSI Inc.’s CTO and Founder, Martin Guilfoyle, today addressed the 4th assembly of Telecommunication Operators from Small States (TOSS). It was a chance to present WSI’s OmniRoamer™ Virtual Home Environment (VHE) application portfolio and explain its benefits to the smaller network operators who are facing a decline in roaming usage per subscriber.
“Today’s market trend shows declining subscriber activity when roaming on visited networks”, said Mr. Guilfoyle. “We can only account this to the difficulties and hidden or high costs subscribers associate with using their phone on a foreign network. With VHE, we offer a turnkey managed service, providing a complete set of a la carte applications designed to improve the roaming experience and thus increase roaming ARPU. Part of our OmniRoamer™ portfolio, VHE offers users the ability to use the same short codes they use at home, such as for calling voicemail or customer care. In addition it eliminates the need to learn the nuances of dialing in a foreign network by “correcting” dialed numbers direct from a user’s stored phonebook.”
There was quite a bit of buzz from TOSS attendees around WSI’s OmniRoamer™ VHE Voicemail divert and virtual private network services, giving customers the same PBX services as they would get on their home network. They could clearly see the benefit of eliminating the “trombone” effect of voicemail deposits. Combining this with the ease in placing calls while roaming, and subscribers are presented with a far better roaming value proposition.
WSI’s OmniRoamer™ VHE solution is implemented using a standards based JAIN SLEE platform. This Java based environment and Service Delivery Platform (SDP) allows a more cost and operationally efficient solution. As Mr. Guilfoyle notes, ”The two largest barriers to roamer phone usage are high or hidden costs and not knowing how to dial in another country. Our VHE solution is here to breakdown those barriers”.

Wireless Solutions International (WSI), a renowned provider of wireless consulting and innovative managed roaming solutions, today signed an agreement with Sensustech, the mobile network quality measurement company, for the supply of its Insight network quality monitoring platform in North America. The Sensustech Insight system uses small mobile devices called PAMs (Performance Analysis Mobiles), mounted in randomly moving vehicles, to act as “subscriber representatives” and report continuously, and in near real-time, on their experience of the service.
Insight uses this information to provide reports of vital interest to strategic management, sales and marketing teams, roaming management, network management, investors, corporate users of mobile communications and industry regulators. It includes the capability to compare network quality performance directly against company targets and other networks.
“No self respecting General would go to war without a good view of the battlefield, and it is WSI’s belief that no cellular operator should either,” said Martin Guilfoyle, WSI’s CTO and Founder. “The Sensustech Insight system supports our OmniRoamer™ service, providing network operators with a “radar” showing in near real-time how well they are performing and, more importantly, how that performance compares against competitors and other key benchmarks.”
Robin Burton, Sensustech’s Head of Marketing, added, “We are delighted to be partnering with WSI since it has a reputation that is second to none in the industry. WSI’s expertise in key areas, such as roaming, will also help us in driving the product development forward.”
